Beautyworld Japan Tokyo 2026 showcases expanded wellness focus with over 820 exhibitors

Beautyworld Japan Tokyo, one of Japan’s largest B2B trade fairs for the beauty industry, will be held from 18 – 20 May 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight. Due to ongoing renovations, the show will now span West Halls 1 – 4 + Atrium and South Halls 1 – 4, showcasing a wide range of products and services related to aesthetics, hair, nails, cosmetics, health, femcare, femtech, and beauty foods. In addition, the newly launched KAORI et Parfum zone will introduce niche fragrances from Japan and abroad, creating new business opportunities for salons to enhance their retail offerings.

Beautyworld Japan Tokyo breaks records with 958 exhibitors and expands industry horizons

Japan's largest B2B beauty trade fair, Beautyworld Japan Tokyo, got even larger from 28 to 30 April 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight. Welcoming 67,796 visitors, the 27th edition’s total of 958 exhibitors (Japan: 739, Overseas: 219) beat the previous record by over 15% (2024: 820 exhibitors). With the fair establishing three new zones, namely Clinic Care, Fitness + Beauty and First Editions, the number of visitors from the medical and health industries increased. The exhibition served as a key platform for exploring new products and services, and for building relationships in the beauty industry.

Exhibitors praise new business as Beautyworld Japan Tokyo welcomes record-breaking 77,248 visitors

After three days of business connections at Tokyo Big Sight, on 15 May, the 26th edition of Japan’s leading beauty event closed on a high note. Beautyworld Japan Tokyo was a dynamic success, exceeding expectations for both exhibitor and visitor attendance. The fair’s 77,248 trade visitors represented an increase of 8.1% compared to the previous edition (2023: 71,448 visitors). By surpassing the 70,000 visitor mark for two consecutive years, the fair reaffirmed its position as the Japanese beauty industry’s key business platform and economic driver, with many exhibitors, buyers, and expert speakers voicing positive testimonies.

Beautyworld Japan Tokyo attracts 71,448 visitors, a 21% increase

The 25th Beautyworld Japan Tokyo has given impressive evidence of the recovery of the beauty industry in Japan after the pandemic. After three successful days of intense business exchanges across the entire East Halls of Tokyo Big Sight, the leading beauty event in Japan closed its doors on 17 May 2023. The 25th edition impressed with an increase of 21% in visitor numbers compared to the previous year (2022: 59,047 visitors). Conducting business with these buyers were 831 exhibitors (Japan: 690, Overseas: 141) from 11 countries and regions including France, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Poland, Thailand and Hong Kong, as well as pavilions from China, Korea and Taiwan. This number surpassed the previous record set before the pandemic, with a 24% increase in comparison to the previous year (2022: 672 exhibitors).

Around 800 exhibitors confirmed for 25th anniversary of Beautyworld Japan Tokyo

With less than two months remaining before opening its doors, Beautyworld Japan Tokyo has already attracted around 800 exhibitors including some 270 first time participants. For comparison, that’s a new high representing a 19 percent increase from the previous record in 2022. Organised by Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd, the fair is taking place from 15 – 17 May, occupying the entire East Halls of Tokyo Big Sight as it becomes bigger and better as the recognised hub in the region for the latest products, services and techniques related to the beauty industry.

Beautyworld Japan closes on a high note with 60% uptick in visitors

By all accounts, whether measured by the feedback from participants or the final attendance figures, the 24th edition of Beautyworld Japan was a great success. The country’s leading beauty event closed its doors on 18 May 2022 after hosting 672 exhibitors at Tokyo Big Sight. This represented a 32% increase from 2021, and an impressive 22% rise compared with the 2019 edition before the pandemic. The three-day fair also attracted 58,830 professional visitors (up 60% from 2021), and contributed significantly to the recovery of the Japanese beauty industry after the pandemic.
